2014 Artist Gallery

Detroit River ArtScape

The Detroit River ArtScape presented by the Detroit RiverFront Conservancy is bringing a larger-than-life showcase of multimedia art installations to the RiverWalk beginning Monday, June 16 and running through the GM River Days festival from June 20-22.  In its third year, this regional art competition will feature the works from a diverse lineup of 15 artists.  The juried show, which also features “People Choice” awards, will offer $16,000 in prizes courtesy of the Knight Foundation.

After you view the show, choose your favorite by texting the artist’s unique code to the number on each artist’s sign.  This year, visitors will have the opportunity to text in their votes for their favorite artists courtesy of HelloWorld, a Detroit-based digital agency.  HelloWorld (formerly ePrize) will run the mobile voting contest for this year’s “People’s Choice” contest.  Visitors can vote up to ten times for their favorite artists by texting the unique code assigned to each installation.

The 2014 People’s Choice” prizes are:

  • ·         First place $2,000
  • ·         Second place $1,000
  • ·         Third Place $500

Voting begins Monday June 16th at 9am and closes at 6pm on Sunday June 22nd.
